Method

Follow the steps in order for the best result.

  1. Begin by preheating your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. Thoroughly grease and flour a Bundt pan to prevent the cake from sticking.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the hot water and instant coffee. Stir until the coffee is dissolved, then set the mixture aside.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the honey, sugar, vegetable oil, and eggs. Use an electric mixer to beat the ingredients together until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  5. Gradually add the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, ground cloves, and allspice to the wet ingredients. Continue mixing until just combined.
  6. Pour the coffee mixture into the batter and mix until everything is well incorporated.
  7. Carefully pour the batter into the prepared Bundt pan, ensuring it's evenly distributed.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 50 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  9. Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
  10. After 10 minutes, invert the cake onto a wire rack and allow it to cool completely.
